Our Story

We established JuneLab to bring beauty and health to the world through the unique natural ingredients we have discovered in exotic locales. During our worldwide travels, we discovered several natural ingredients and herbal extracts used by locals for centuries for skin rejuvenation and protection. From the mountains of Tibet and Tian Shan to the exotic islands of the Seychelles, we found ancient botanical sources that cannot be matched in the modern world.

One of our most exciting discoveries was Coco-de-Mer from the Seychelles. Coco-de-Mer (Lodoicea maldivica), known also as The Sea Coconut, is the sole member of the genus Lodoicea. As far back as the 16th century, these legendary nuts were praised by botanists, historians and poets. The nuts were so prized that in the 16th century in the Maldives, any Coco-de-Mer nuts that were found, had to be given to the king. Keeping a nut for oneself or selling it could have resulted in the death penalty. Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II was able to purchase just one of these nuts for 4,000 gold florins.

To preserve this species, we analyzed the contents of Coco-de-Mer in a laboratory using modern technologies. Then we replaced these contents with identical elements extracted from other natural plants.
